Ahhh...Have you looked up to see the majestic rocks of Red Rock Canyon? For only $5.00 entrance fee you are granted access to one of the most beautiful sights in the West. Once there, take a drive around the scenic road, or go for a short hike. Time your stay correctly, and you can be witness to a fantastic waterfall and desert animals walking lazily along the road.

Bonnie Springs is a truly authentic Wild West experience, complete with a train, turtle habitat, petting zoo, "good-guy, bad-guy" show, old town and bar. Be sure to stop in to the bar, grab a small snack and drink, and experience a fun, family-friendly show.

Spring Mountain Ranch is less than a mile down the road. Bring a picnic, see and learn about some history and watch as wild horses roam freely through the mountains. This is a great place for a hike, too.

Have you heard that we ski here in Las Vegas? It's true! In less than an hour from Las Vegas, Mt. Charleston is home to some fabulous ski runs. Ok, so it is not for the advanced ski bunny, per se, but terrific for those out to have a great time for the day. There is a Lodge close by, so feel free to check it out. The food is great and they offer ice skating in the Winter. During the Summer months Mt. Charleston is the perfect way to escape the heat.

What can be said for Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam? They are a MUST! If you are feeling adventurous, boat rentals are available. The water is crystal-clear and the views are magnificent! Spend a day touring the caves, maybe rent a jet ski for some high speed fun.

There is so much to do in Las Vegas, even if you are not interested in gambling and enjoying the sights on the Strip.
